Wendy Rood is the hard-working head of Magnetsigns full service print shop. Her main role is producing printed signs, graphics and other items for our North American Network of franchises and our Corporate Accounts clients. Wendy, who joined the team in 2010, also works in Magnetsigns Supply, assists our accounting department and contributes in countless other ways. Wendy is busy away from the office as well working on the family farm, enjoying art and design, and woodworking. She is also an avid curling fan and loves spending time with her St. Bernard and her beautiful yard and garden.

Kate Holliday is Magnetsigns Creative Director. Kate oversees our Creative & Print Department and loves the creative part of her job, designing sign layouts, advertisements, brochures and other items for our Magnetsigns franchisees and corporate accounts clients. Kate has a creative mind and is always looking for ways to improve systems, processes and products. Kate’s favourite part of her role is the time she spends with franchisees and members of our home office team.

Lloyd has been with Magnetsigns since 2000 when he purchased a franchise in Estevan, Saskatchewan. After a very successful experience, Lloyd joined our Home Office team in 2002. As VP Franchising, Lloyd’s role is to help grow and develop the Magnetsigns brand in Canada and the United States. Over the years, Lloyd has helped introduce many of our current franchisees to the Magnetsign business oppportunity. Lloyd is passionate about the Magnetsigns brand and knows from experience that our product gets results for our clients. Lloyd is an avid sports fan and athlete. He plays and coaches hockey, has more than 20 full marathon finishes to his credit and three Ironman finishes. He has also served on the board of the Spectra Credit Union.

Carla Thompson is Magnetsigns Corporate Accounts Program Coordinator. As the point of contact between our Corporate Accounts Clients and our network of Magnetsigns franchisees, Carla is a detail oriented professional with a passion for providing best in class customer service. Carla who has been with Magnetsigns since 2014, enjoys the diversity of her role, managing successful sign advertising campaigns across Canada on behalf of our corporate accounts clients. Outside of Magnetsigns, Carla enjoys time spent with friends and creating tasty culinary delights.

Ron Spangler is Magnetsigns General Manager, Supply and Services. Ron, who has been with Magnetsigns since March of 2009, plays a big role in the success of the company. Ron manages Magnetsigns Supply and oversees our full service print shop. He also looks after Magnetsigns IT issues and has a key role in franchise support, training and special events. Ron has built strong relationships throughout the Magnetsigns network and enjoys working with franchisees to help them find success. Ron’s favourite past times include reading, playing World of Tanks and World of Warships and looking after a brood of 120 chickens.

Kyle’s creativity extends across a number of important roles including creative consulting, layout design and printing and production support. Kyle is a self-described techy, whose favourite part of his role is working creatively with our franchises and interacting with our Home Office team.

Stuart Erskine is the President of Declare Brands. Stuart has been with the company since September of 1997 when he purchased one of the first Magnetsigns franchises in Alberta. Stuart oversees the Magnetsigns growth and development, provides leadership and vision and heads our management team. Stuart is also an adventurer with a passion for long distance running and high altitude climbing. Among his accomplishments are the summiting of Mount Everest, completion of the Seven Summits challenge and participation in many of the world’s great endurance races including the Marathon des Sables, a six-day 250 km run across the Sahara Desert.
